Giancarlo Bianchi is a designer and maker of fine contemporary furniture who completed his training in the workshop of David Savage, one of the foremost designer-makers of international standing in this country. Giancarlo’s high level of craftsmanship can be attributed in great part to the inspiring influence and guidance of master craftsman Daren Millman who mentored him in David Savage’s workshop.

Following the completion of his training, Giancarlo had reached the level of knowledge, experience and craftsmanship that enabled him to set up his own venture in the UK near his home in South Wales: Bianchi Fine Furniture. Giancarlo enjoys working mostly with hardwoods that are not readily available from bulk furniture manufacturers and applies the use of veneer for decorative purposes where it can greatly enhance the style and look of a piece.

The ethos of Bianchi Fine Furniture has two main branches. One relates to the quality and love that will go into the design and making of each piece of furniture. On this aspect Giancarlo Bianchi is unable to compromise as his work always reflects the keen interest and passion that he has for his craft. However, this is not sufficient to successfully operate a small business which could not survive without the patronage of our clients who are able to appreciate both the intrinsic beauty of wood furniture and the high quality of the craftsmanship. Hence, Giancarlo always strives to provide the best possible service to his clients who will know their custom is always valued and appreciated - not least because of the shared interest in beautiful furniture!
